Precision Songs is pleased to announce our new Assessment System, a simple incremental way of tracking student progress. This is an online data collection that records student performance over a period of time. The data inputted by the teacher or therapist can be used to create simple graphs and reports detailing the progress achieved using our unique learning pedalogy. Click here to learn more...

What is Precision Songs?
Precision Songs is a tool that harnesses the awesome power of music to help language impaired children gain new skills!
Through music, your child can learn to answer basic social questions such as "What is your name?" and "How old are you?" label colors, name parts of the body, imitate animal sounds, recognize community helpers, plus much more!
Augment speech, occupational, behavioral and music therapy by letting our CD work for you.
Both the progression and concept of our songs borrow from Dr. Sabrina Freeman's Teach Me Language and Catherine Maurice's manual Behavioral intervention for Young Children with Autism. Dr. Sabrina Freeman materials are available at www.skfbooks.com or toll free 1-866-534-6956.
Precision Songs began because of the success of a single child. Now our mission is to make that same success available to all children struggling with language.
Oliver Sacks, the author of Awakening states:
"(Music) is as powerful as any medicine," Sacks said. "It has a unique way of accessing the brain and the nervous system.
"One finds, in all sorts of neurological disorders, (that) music is crucial," he said. "You have people who have Parkinson's (disease) who can't talk but can sing, can't walk but can dance. People with Alzheimer's can sometimes start to remember themselves and be themselves with familiar tunes." www.cnn.com/2000/SHOWBIZ/Music/12/08/wb.healing
By harnessing the power of music, we break down large amounts of practical information into small bite size pieces and set them to rhythm and song. Unlike typical recordings, Precision Songs includes a second version of each song with specific lyrics missing. The missing lyrics, usually the answer to a question, are an obvious omission compelling a child to respond. Finally, information taught in song is presented without music in spoken form.In this way, a bridge is slowly built from singing to speaking.
Precision Songs has a unique offer of a personalized song for each individual child. By repeated listening to his or her own customized song, a child can learn to answer basic social questions like What is your name? and How old are you?
Lastly, Precision Songs music is sensitive to the fact that many individuals who struggle with speech handicaps also have issues with sensory overload and need more time to respond. Our music is very basic and is purposefully slow to allow processing time.
Harness the power of music for a child you love!
